Birth of My Photography Journey

Hi Guys!!! its just been a wonderful weekend and starting of a wonderful journey, last sunday i just got my very 1st camera on my own, and its a Nikon DSLR D60. It all started like this when I decided 2 own a camera on my own. I used to take alot of pictures back then but always with my phone and not a real camera.

So i was planning on a compact camera due to the tight control of my budget, but after many consultation of photographers, all the advise was to save a little more money and get myself a DSLR, with that I was really down as people see me as a DSLR person and i could only afford a compact. Suddenly of of the very blue my mom! I repeat! MY MOM!! decided to lend me the money to get a DSLR, even i had to pay her back for it, but for the FIRST TIME!! after being her son for 20 years! she is finally saying something new to me to actually lending me some money for my CAM!! so last sunday! I just got myself a DSLR for the first time and its my new toy.

Ps: girl if your reading this, don't worry I will let u play with the cam as I promise!

Alright since I got myself the cam (with the help of mom) I've shooting alot lately and trying to get it right with the cam as it is my first time holding a DSLR, as I always play for a short while using my friends one. so enough take, and some pics I've took with my new toy!!

Tribute to the King Of Pop!

On the 26th of June 2009, is truly a day a day to remember as the Legendary King Of Pop, Michael Jackson, left us to be in a better place. I was indeed shock over the news where the King of Pop has left this world. I've never taught or even predicted this day would just come so fast.

It was just a few days back when I told my band mates on doing a song from Michael for our college award giving ceremony, and I was going through his songs on YouTube which some of his hit wonders of Earth song, Black or White, Bad, Billy Jeans, Thriller, and many other body grooving, heart melting songs from the King of Pop through out the years.

M.J was truly someone to be respected where a kid, merely the age of 5 is already performing and cutting albums with his brothers as the great Jackson 5 with him being the youngest lead singer of the century. Great songs were compose by them such as ABC, I want you back and many more on the list. He was really a gifted child with superb vocals to be singing with a stable pitch of voice at that age.

The sad thing to be recall is how those people of the world used to curse him and sue him with charges, are now praising him. Whats the use of doing it now? when he was alive the world was filling his life with shame and misery, accusing him for molesting young boys, about him converting to the muslim religion, his skin colour change, about his face nose, bla bla bla and nothing, NOT a SINGLE WORD OF PRAISE, but now when poor M.J is dead and lying in the coffin, the world is saying "oh he was a great man of music", "He united the worlds differences with his music", " He is truly a man to admire" bla bla!! HELLO!!! why say this when the person is dead and gone! do you thing he can hear you? When he was alive, all he got was nothing but insults, shame and misery, but only giving him glory when he is gone to the other world.

Well, dear M.J I may not know you personally, but your music has really brought a big impact to the world and I believe you had put a great show for the world, you had faught a good fight and you had run the race of life to the fullest and had influnce many in this world as well!!

M.J Rest In Peace..

The Great Belgian Role Model

Dato' Rev. Father A. Julien
( 1917 - 2004 )

Today I'm here is to talk about this great man which I give my full salute to him and respect. Dato' Rev. Father Julien was a man of great passion, honour and pride! He was a great role model and also a great warrior for the Chinese community here in the island.

Father Julien is a priest all the way from Belgium. He had a great passion for the Chinese community and culture that he traveled to stay in China just before the communist attack, He wanted to learn and study the Chinese culture that within a fast learning period of 3 years, He as a born Belgiun manage to pick up the mandarin tongue and to speak it out proudly without any flaws.

After the 3 years of being in China, Father Julien was sent to Malaya and to the island of Penang when the communist attacked China, while being in Penang he still had the great passion for the Chinese community where he went all out to reach his helping hands to them.

Father Julien even conducted the first ever mandarin mass in the island which was the Seven Sorrows Church. He had became the main pillar of support for the chinese community here in Penang where He, along side with Rev. Fr. Chao Chong Sen started of the Heng Ee secondary school. The main purpose of the school was to help the poor chinese families who could not afford education and also those who were over age to enter schools. It was also a school for those who were not able to enter the prime chinese schools such as Chung Ling High School and the Penang Chinese Girls High School.

In order to build the education of the Heng Ee Kindergarden, Primary and Secondary schools', Father Julien had gave up his Belgian family will which was around RM 60,000 that was given to him and to channel it for the education foundation of the school.

Father Julien was awarded the Datukship by the Penang state Government in July 1995. He then became an inmate at the Batu Lanchang Old Folks Home after his retirement in 1999, which was then they discovered that Father Julien had a disease of Parkinson.

Yet even with his illness he still had a strong determination and passion for the chinese community, Father Julien had a grand and honoured sent off during his funeral on September 14, 2004.

As for me, he is truely a great role model for all of the chinese community, we should really respect and thank him for his effort and passion for the people and to fight for all of us.

Father Julien, Rest In Peace.

G1 G2

Alright guys this is gonna be a boring post but its actually the concept of the G1 and G2 Chinese people which was originated from Mr. Dia. Actually I totally understand and feel the same way as how Mr Dia feels.

Alright according to him G1 are the group of chinese who are born and brought up in a heavy chinese culture background and G2 are the ones who were mostly influence by the west. I usually don't really mind on this issue as it is not their fault that they were sent to chinese school and our fault to not knowing a single word of chinese when we are actually born under the race of chinese.
I atually salute those Malays or Indians who can speak and understand my origin mother tongue way better than me.

Hence, what I'm ranting about here its the treatment that we G2 chinese get from the G1 chinese people. Alright once again I'm not pin pointing anybody here and do not get much offended as every individual are different, but the majority.

I was born and brought up in a mix family of the chinese and the philipines, and my main background of culture is a mix of the west and east. I do celebrate events such as christmas and easter and also chinese new year and stuff, but the main thing about me is I was taught and influence in the culture of the english language. Which mainly leads to... I don't really understand the main language of mandarin and etc except hokkien of course.

To my experiece the G1 chinese has always looked down on us G2 chinese when they come to know we as a born chinese do not understand our own mother tongue, and they always make it seems like its the most matter a fact thing to learn the language, as they bring in nonsense points like we won't be able to get jobs, and yada yada. I just can't stand on the mind set that some of the G1 chinese have in their heads.

To my dear G1 chinese people, I do love my race but I don't see the reason why I won't be obtaining a job in future. let me ask you one simple questions my G1 friends, how many countries in the world that speaks the chinese language, as i mean the variation of the chinese language?

Let me answers that for you ok? lets see we have Hong Kong, China, Taiwan, Macau, maybe Korea. Am I right? please add on if you know more. Now lets head on to the english section. The United States itself has 50 states in the country, if I'm not mistaken, speaks english, and even the Europe continents is influence by the english language.

My dear G1 friends, from here it looks like people like me are getting most of the opportunity of jobs that you who only know the chinese language. But I'm not here to shoot and to kill the chinese culture but its to make some of you realise one thing is not to look down on us to those who cant understand, read, or write in chinese. It's merely nobody's fault on the way we grew up in the world. I understand its good to know a thing or two on the main culture of our race but it shall depends on the individual themselve to have the passion on learn and to carry on the tradition.

Well i honestly hope I have not offended anyone here, as I'm just giving out my point of views about this topic, since Mr.Dia has mentioned about it in his blog.

*Sorry guys as this post does not have any visuals to entertaint*
